Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have a ride to rush?

Yes, we will pick you up! Contact our Recruitment Chair, Will Canon, directly at 973-477-6437 if you would like a ride to any of our events.

Do I have to register for recruitment?

Registration is required and registering will let IFC fraternities know that you’re interested in recruitment. There is no cost to register. You can click here to share your contact info with all IFC fraternities, or fill out the form above to share it with only Zeta Psi.

What are the requirements for recruitment?

I. A minimum high school GPA of 2.5 for first-semester freshman
II. A minimum college GPA of 2.5 for all others

If I register for recruitment, do I have to participate in all events?

No, you do not. None of the Recruitment events are mandatory, and you can stop participating at any time if you’d like.

My parents do not like the idea of joining a fraternity, what can I tell them?

One of the greatest arguments for joining a fraternity is that it satisfies the fundamental need to belong. Joining a fraternity will help connect you to a group of peers with similar values. Feeling connected will make you more satisfied with your college experience and therefore more likely to succeed and graduate. The Fraternity and Sorority Life website and the chapter advisors and/or FSL staff are great resources to help address the concerns of your parents.

I’m worried about paying dues. How will I be able to afford them?

Zeta Psi, as well as the Interfraternity Council, offer several scholarships that award enough to cover the cost of membership. There is no limit on the amount of times you can apply for and receive scholarships.

Do you have any advice for me during recruitment?

Be yourself! Do not try to fit the mold of what you think a stereotypical ‘fraternity’ guy is.
